Starting on June 15, 2017 Alexandru Baltag became the General Director of the Moldova Business People Association.
“This is an honour for me, but also a great responsibility. MBPA has earned a reputation in the non-governmental area and is a bridge between business people and public authorities. In particular, I intend to strengthen the ties with our members, provide greater support to small businesses and play a bigger role in attracting foreign investments to our country”, said the new General Director.
The former General Director, Andrei Crigan, wished his successor great achievement, expressing hope that MBPA would progress in working with its partners. “I have confidence in the new General Director and I wish him success. I am sure that MBPA will continue to be an important institution for Moldovan businesses”, said Andrei Crigan.
The new General Director Alexandru Baltag is 32 years old and has a PhD in International Relations and European Studies. He graduated the State University of Moldova and then studied in Romania and France. He published articles and studies in the national and international press about international relations, European integration, geopolitics, energy. For the last two years he has been an adviser of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy in international economic cooperation.
